Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most often about searching, booking and picking up your car in Scandinavia.
Enter your pick-up location in Scandinavia and dates, compare the available cars and prices, then choose one and complete the driver details form. You will receive a booking reference once the rental company accepts your request.
A booking is a request sent to the rental company. Your reservation is confirmed only when the company accepts it and you receive a confirmation with your booking reference.
Payment is made directly to the rental company into its own account, using the payment methods it supports. Payment terms, deposits and refunds are handled by the company, so any payment questions must be raised with them.
The price covers the vehicle for the selected rental period and any extras you add. Local taxes, fees, deposits and optional extras may vary by company and are confirmed on your booking.
Changes and cancellations are subject to the rental company policy shown on the vehicle and booking pages. Any change or late-cancellation fees are set and charged by the company.
Bring a valid driving licence and the payment card in the driver name, and meet the company minimum-age requirement. Additional documents may be required depending on the Scandinavian country.
Many rental companies take a refundable deposit at pick-up to cover the excess. The amount and payment method are set by the company and shown in its policy.
Contact the rental company as soon as possible if you will be late. Most companies allow a waiting period, but late arrivals may affect your booking or incur fees.
